Situated in one of England’s most historic and prestigious cities, York Sports Club boasts some of the finest sports facilities in Yorkshire. Established in 1966, the Clifton Park site is home to four of York’s premier sports clubs.

York Tennis Club has a membership of over 260, 100 of whom are junior players. We run 16 teams in both local and county leagues. We have a flourishing day membership and general club training sessions, all with qualified coaches.
Winter play is also popular; our six carpet based courts are very player-friendly, and, with floodlit courts, we are also able to host a winter floodlit league.
York Cricket Club has been in existence for over 200 years and now has a membership in excess of 350 players, spanning men’s and women’s teams and junior and senior levels.
York have been Yorkshire League Champions on many occasions, including 2012. We also became National Club Champions in 2012 for the first time since 1975.
York Cricket Club currently has four senior men’s teams, 9 junior teams (from U9s to U17s) and one ladies’ team. We have nine level 2 coaches and one level 3 coach.
York RUFC has a membership in excess of 700, including juniors, seniors and veterans. We regularly host County Cup competitions, have won the Yorkshire Shield three times and, with an extensive Youth Development section, York is the epitome of ‘grass roots’ rugby.
We have over 300 junior players aged 7 – 17, managed by 50 qualified coaches. We regularly have representation at County level, and have also provided players to U18 and U21 National level.
Our senior section comprises over 100 players across four teams. Our fourth team is a social side, offering a great development platform for junior players moving into senior rugby, and our 1st XV play in the Yorkshire 1 league.
York Squash Club has a membership of around 170 players, covering both juniors and seniors. We have four courts, one of which is a show court. Coaching is available for beginner and advanced players, old and young.
The club holds tournaments twice a year catering for all abilities. During the winter there is a Handicap tournament, and in the early Autumn there is a Club Championships. We have 8 mens teams and 2 ladies teams in the York and District League, as well as having internal mini leagues in operation throughout the year. We also play racquetball – the UK’s fastest growing sport.
